Black Lives Matter, often abbreviated as BLM, is a revisionary movement aimed at fighting discrimination and violence twords African-Americans. Although BLM is closely affiliated with organizations such as the Black Lives Matter Global Network, it’s composed of many different groups and organizations spanning across several countries.
BLM was regognized for street demonstrations because of the shooting of Michael Brown in missoury, and soffocation of Eric Garner in NYC.
On February 23, 2020, Ahmaud Arbery, an unarmed 25-year-old African-American man, was fatally shot while jogging in Glynn County, Georgia.[211] Arbery had been pursued and confronted by three white residents driving two vehicles, including a father and son who were armed.[212] All three men have been indicted on nine counts, including felony murder.[213]
